Born Feb. 8, 1926, in Senath, to the late Martin and Lela Allen Seagraves, he was a farmer and affiliated with the Baptist Church. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he service during World War II.
On Aug. 8, 1947, in Kokomo, Ind., he married Madeline Hutchason who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Martin Seagraves of Lafayette, La.; one daughter, Karen Seagraves of Sikeston; one brother, L.D. Seagraves of Sikeston; two sisters, Edith Brown of San Diego, Calif., and Leotha Lee of Pensacola, Fla; and one granddaughter, Jessica Seagraves of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jerry Adams, pastor of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
