CHAFFEE - Mary Loretta Burton, 69, formerly of Morley, died at 5:45 p.m. April 10, 2004, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born Jan. 16, 1935, in Perkins, daughter of the late Chester and Zettie Welch Edwards, she retired as a machine operator for Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee and the Oran Hat Factory in Oran. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie 3775 of Cape Girardeau and of the Pentecostal belief.
On Sept. 1, 1950, she married Herbert Scott Burton who preceded her in death on March 1, 1995.
One brother, two sisters, one grandson and one great-grandson also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Hubert Burton of Chaffee and Stevie Burton of Morley; four daughters, Carolyn Coram, Linda Scott and Lorie Daniels of Lowndes and Debbie Essner of Jackson; two sisters, Elsie Bloomer of Flint, Mich., and Helen Backues of Ellisville; and 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Don Russell officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
Pallbearers will be: Hubert Burton, Stevie Burton, Linda Scott, Randy Coram, Scotty Burton and Joey Daniels.
