Eagles snap streak

MARBLE HILL -- The Oran Eagles defeated the Woodland Cardinals on the road Tuesday to snap a rare three-game losing streak, 11-0 in five innings.

Oran lost three straight games at home in the Scott County Invitational to Cooter, Dexter and Senath-Hornersville. The Eagles got well with their trip to Marble Hill.

Steven Dooley went 3-for-3 at the plate and pitched five scoreless innings to picked up the win for Oran. Dooley allowed only two hits and struck out seven in the contest.

Cody Dirnberger also went 3-3, while Chris Asmus contributed a triple and Chase Seyer doubled for the Eagles.

Oran (12-4) host Saxony Lutheran on Thursday at 4 p.m.

OAK RIDGE -- The Chaffee Red Devils torched Oak Ridge on the road Tuesday afternoon, 23-0.

Adam Uhrhan went 3-for-5 and drove in six runs to lead the Red Devils. Michael Lee was also potent at the plate going 4-4 with three RBIs. Andy Hendrix also drove in three runs for Chaffee.

Adam Crowe got the win on the mound for the Devils going five innings and gave up one hit, one walk and struck out nine.

Chaffee (11-6) will compete in the SEMO Conference Tournament on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Red Devils earned the No. 5 seed and will travel to face the No. 4 seed Dexter Bearcats.

Caruthersville 13, NMCC 11

NEW MADRID -- The New Madrid County Central Lady Eagles fell at home to the Caruthersville Lady Tigers on Tuesday, 13-11.

Brittney Masterson got the loss on the mound for the Lady Eagles going the distance and gave up 10 hits, walked 10 and struck out nine.

Offensively for NMCC, Shari Padilla and Paige Palmer had two hits apiece.

NMCC (5-7) travels to South Pemiscot on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
