Joan Hutchason

EAST PRAIRIE - Joan Krauss Hutchason, 63, died at 10:10 a.m. Dec. 20, 2004, at her home.

Born July 2, 1941, near Bertrand, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian Beatrice Winders Krauss. A lifelong resident of Mississippi County, she was a member of the Dorena Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Felecia Bozeman of East Prairie; one son and daughter-in-law, Thadd and Marsha Hutchason of East Prairie; one stepdaughter, Sadonna Hutchason of East Prairie; one stepson, Teddy Hutchason of East Prairie; two sisters, Nancy Barnes of Park Hills and Betty Ferrie of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Anna Bozeman, Garrison Hutchason, Jase Hutchason, Logan Grubbs and Luke Grubbs of East Prairie; two stepgrandchildren, Ryan Hutchason and Saylor Hutchason of East Prairie; and her former husband, Ted Hutchason of East Prairie.

She was preceded in death by one stepson, Michael Hutchason; one brother, Louis Eugene "Johnnie" Krauss; and one sister, Rose Aline Haley.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Bill Whitener officiating.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Cecil Hammontree, Dickie Hanor, Buddy Russell, Jimmy D. Heath, Maxie Blackman, Bob Hanor and Adon Cox.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Blanche Blackman, Irene Hanor, Diane Russell, Cathy Walters, Sandy Bain and Betty Heath.
