NEW MADRID -- Louise Lane Blunt, 86, died March 12, 2005, at Bethesda Meadow in Ellisville.
Born Sept. 21, 1918, in Harrisburg, Ark., daughter of the late J.W. and Bessie King Lane, she was a member of the General Baptist Church in Lilbourn.
On June 3, 1934, she married Marvin Blunt who preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1981.
One son, LeRoy Blunt; one daughter, Helen June Blunt; six brothers; and one sister, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: five sons, Bobby Blunt of Claremore, Okla., Marion Blunt of Hernando, Miss., Larry Blunt of New Madrid, Charles Blunt of Houston, Texas, and Richard Blunt of Simi Valley, Calif.; three daughters, Maggie Riley and Linda K. Turner of St. Louis and Verna Springs of Farmington; two sisters, Bessie Mae Wilson and Georgia Robinson of Dexter; and 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bill Reid, pastor, of the First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Ric Blunt, Chris Blunt, Craig Blunt, Shannon Blunt, David Blunt, Jeff Meyers, Carl Kraemer, Tim Evans, Jason Gilliam, Warren Westrup and Megan Turner.
