Speakout 5/16

Monday, May 16, 2005

This is to the police officer that was at a local gas station last Friday. My son went in to pay for my gas, and he had the nerve to tell my son he needed a haircut. Excuse me! Where the hell do you get off thinking you can tell someone they need a haircut? It is none of your business when my kids get a hair cut. I'll have you know, there are tons of rich kids in this town whose hair is much longer and a lot more "shaggly" than my son's hair is! Why don't you tell them that? I'll tell you why you won't because you don't have the nerve to! You are afraid to speak to them kids, so instead, you think you can tell some poorer kid they need one. I think you need to mind your own business. You are not a police officer for bad hair! I mean, what do you think you're going to do? Give him a ticket for not cutting his hair? Good grief! Why don't you do your job, the one us taxpayers are paying you to do and start patrolling the schools where the kids run stop signs, or are speeding and stop worrying about what someone's hair looks like. You're very lucky it was my son that went in the station that day and not me. I don't take too kindly to people minding my business. So why don't you do everyone a favor, and mind your own.

There is much bickering back and forth between the two main political parties in this country. One reason for this is, in my opinion, that a great many folks simply don't understand the basic philosophical difference between the two. Republicans believe in less government control and interference in our lives and Democrats believe in more government control and interference. Democrats promote social programs that encourage sloth, waste, and burden the growth of capitalistic endeavors. It is capitalistic endeavors, entrepreneurial spirit, and business enterprise that create the taxes necessary to perpetuate socialistic government; thus, it chokes itself to death. This self destruction would be OK if it did not bring down the good hard working capitalistic people with the socialist parasites. Attempts are made to mask the real identity of some things by calling them a name or giving a title that belies truth. Secretaries like to be called administrative assistants, Realtors like to call mobile homes modular homes, etc. Socialists and communists like to call themselves Democrats. We do have people in this country that openly, and with pride, call themselves socialists and communists. We are a free country and allow socialists and communists to practice in the open without fear of reprisal. It is my wish that more of them would do so. This would enable people to see how they operate and that there is little, if any, difference between the philosophical beliefs of socialists and communists and our own homegrown Democrats. By the way, it is much easier to have respect for a person that will stand up, look you in the eye, and tell you he is a socialist than one that puts a cloak on it. And another thing while I'm at it; when we say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, we pledge allegiance to the "Republic for which it stands," not the Democracy for which it stands. Any of you socialists ever take notice of that?

To the person who wrote in about missing John and not too many good kids come out of Morehouse. Apparently you didn't live in Morehouse very long, or perhaps you only sat on your porch waiting on your paper and didn't get out and about very much to see what fine people are in Morehouse. Most of the kids from here are good kids.

This is in regards to the bank robbery on 5/5. I would like to set the gossips straight about the robbery. I am the person whose car was stolen. I did not leave the keys in it, they were in my pocket and I was at work. A customer came in and said someone robbed a bank so I went outside and got curious and looked across the lot at the cop cars. I noticed something strange, my car wasn't where I had left it. I went out to be sure and guess what. Someone stole my car. He busted the steering column and broke the ignition so now, I am without my car and it was a new one to me - I had only had it 24 hours before this happened. So get real. He was not, I repeat not, my boyfriend. I never knew this man. I've never seen the man. I am a victim in this case along with the bank. Now I have to fix my car so everybody please quit jumping to the wrong conclusions.
