Born May 21, 1922, in Salem, daughter of the late James E. and Susan Foust Cook, she had been a secretary for a business machines retailer and had worked at Remington Rand in St. Louis. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women.
On Dec. 7, 1944, she married Clyde F. Flaker who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Greg Flaker of Columbia and Mike Flaker of Sikeston; two daughters, Lisa Green of Mandeville, La., and Amy Craig of St. Louis; two sisters, Iona Stephens of Salem and Deloris Johnson of Columbia; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Visitation is from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Church with the Rev. Charlie Prost officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
