Born Aug. 27, 1918, in Bernie, daughter of the late Harvey "Lum" and Ester Markham Escue, she was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter and a homemaker.
On Oct. 28, 1932, at Dexter, she married Earl "Tump" Duckworth who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1991.
One brother, J.L. Escue; and one granddaughter, Dilynn Derengowski, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Glen Duckworth of Dexter and Kenneth Duckworth of Flint, Mich.; two grandchildren, Regina Duckworth of Jackson and Bryan Duckworth of Flint; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Clifford Wray will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
