ARVADA, Colo. - James "Jim" G. Buckles, 72, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died May 9, 2005, at St. Anthony Central in Denver.
Born Jan. 24, 1933, in Sikeston, son of the late Eugene and Irene Buckles, he was a 1951 graduate of Sikeston High School. He served in the United States Army from 1951-1953, and was stationed in Fort Riley, Kan.
On May 1, 1958, he married Janis Groteluschen, who survives of the home in Arvada.
Survivors in addition to his wife include: two sons, Gil Buckles and Rhett Buckles of Arvada; one daughter, Meghan Tidwell of Fairfax, Va; and one sister, Betty Keirsey of Memphis, Tenn.
A memorial service was held May 13 at the Arvada United Methodist Church.
