Bennie Buchanan

DEXTER -- Bennie Buchanan, 69, died May 19, 2005, at the Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Ariz.

Born Aug. 4, 1935, in Dexter, son of the late Collis and Eva J. Jackson Buchanan, he had lived in Dexter most of his life and was an owner/operator of a trucking company. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge in Bernie.

On July 26, 1952, he married Rebecca Moore who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Rick Buchanan of Dexter; one daughter, Terri Hager of Westwood, N.J.; two brothers, William Buchanan of Inverness, Fla., and Robert Buchanan of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.
