SIKESTON -- Wilma I. Smith, 78, died at 7:44 a.m. May 19, 2005, at her home.
Born Jan. 13, 1927, in Canalou, daughter of the late John D. and Crissie Shoulders Barnes, she was a housewife and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
On May 18, 1946, in Canalou, she married B.J. "Jack" Smith who preceded her in death on June 24, 1998.
Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Jack D. Smith of Sikeston; one daughter, Crissie Pyland of Sikeston; one brother, Gene Barnes of New Madrid; two sisters, Louise Shock of Gideon and Pat Adams of Bloomington, Ill.; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Donnie Barnes, Ronnie Barnes, Eric Lambert, David Newingham, Robert Adams, Woody Smith and Paul Barnes Jr.
