DEXTER -- Jimmie D. Corzine Sr., 65, died April 21, 2007, at his home.
Born Feb. 13, 1942, in Dexter, to the late Alva and Hattie Hutchcraft Corzine, he spent several years in Benton Harbor, Mich., before returning to Dexter in 1982. He was a retired carpenter and had worked for Pearson Construction.
He first married Sheila Phillips in Benton Harbor.
On Sept. 9, 1988, in Dexter, he married Margaret Ruckle Sandy who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Jimmie Corzine Jr. of Dudley; two daughters, Dieanna Chronister of Coloma, Mich., and Theresa Broadhurst of Watervliet, Mich.; five stepsons, Arthur L. Shafer of Bancroft, Mich., Richard L. Shafer of Flint, Mich., John J. Shafer of Mt. Rose, Mich., Thomas L. Shafer of Phoenix and Timothy P. Shafer of Dexter; two stepdaughters, Janet L. Garcia of Columbia, Tenn., and Donna J. DeKruger of Phoenix; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The Rev. Karen Oldham of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter.
