One arrested in drug raid

SIKESTON -- A Sikeston man is in jail after a search warrant was served at his home.

George Brown, 46, was charged through the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney with the Class B felony of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance. Bond was set at $500,000.

Sikeston Department of Public Safety Director Drew Juden said narcotic investigators and the Special Operations Group served the warrant Thursday at 1704 Ford St., looking for crack cocaine.

During execution of the warrant, officers seized $922 in cash, 12 grams of crack cocaine, digital scales, cornerless sandwich bags, razor blades and approximately nine grams of marijuana.

Brown, 46, was inside the residence when the warrant was served and was placed under arrest.
