Born March 25, 1921, in Bloomfield, son of the late Lester and Pearl Arnett Teets, he was a concrete finisher for Stites Concrete in Dexter and a U.S. Army veteran.
On Oct. 28, 1941, in Ardeola, he married Veda DeJournett who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons, Eldon Teets of Mount Clemens, Mich., Dennis Teets of Puxico, Stanley Teets of Dexter and Randy Teets of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Brenda Schatz and Gwen Shirrell of Advance, Karen Light of Oran and Zelma McTurnan of Bell City; two sisters, Wanda Nunn of St. Louis and Joan Griffan of Cape Girardeau; and 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and seven sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday.
Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bell City.
