Johnson is arraigned

BENTON - Brandon C. Johnson, 23, entered a plea of not guilty Tuesday during his arraignment in Scott County Associate Judge David Mann's court.

Johnson is facing first degree murder and armed criminal action charges for the May 9 shooting death of Jemorrio A. Betts at Mr. C's Night Club near Morley.

Johnson's preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. July 6 in Associate Division 5 of the 33rd Judicial Circuit Court.
