June Stroup

Born June 20, 1922, in Bloomfield, son of the late Harvey and Nellie Keating Stroup, he lived in the Bloomfield area all his life. He was a member of Mount Pisgah General Baptist Church in Aquilla.

On Sept. 18, 1943, he married Norma Gean Phillips who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Harve Stroup of Bloomfield and Jerry Stroup of Lowndes; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Bob Holland will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
