CHAFFEE - Geneva Gardiner Wagoner, 78, died at 12:50 p.m. May 20, 2004, at her home.
Born Feb. 3, 1926, in Dutchtown, daughter of the late Albert and Hermina Lenora Simpher Gardiner, she was a foreman for Florsheim Shoe Company before retiring. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Sisters of St. Ambrose and United Transportation Union Ladies Auxiliary.
On Jan. 11, 1985, she married Ray Wagoner who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Clifford E. Wagoner of Patton; two daughters, Sharon Desmond of Ballwin and Gail Ballard of Chaffee; two sisters, Virginia LeGrand of Cape Girardeau and Myrna DuBost of Titusville, Fla.; and eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where parish prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
