Glastetter-James/ Glastetter-King

NEW HAMBURG -- Emily Nicole Glastetter and Brian Alan James together with Tiffany Jane Glastetter and Nathen Lee King were married in a double wedding ceremony Nov. 27, 2004, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg. The couples were married by the Rev. Michael John Glastetter, OFM Conv. Music for the occasion was provided by organist Cheryl Kern and vocalists Mary Glastetter and Jimmie Simmons.

Parents of the brides are Mike and Debbie Glastetter of New Hamburg. Brian is the son of Susan James of Springfield, Ill., and Ronald James of Sikeston. Nathen is the son of Gayle and John Heeb of Bell City and Robert King of Sikeston.

The brides' paternal grandparents are Anna Glastetter of New Hamburg and the late Bernard Glastetter and maternal grandparents are Dean and Doris Riley of Blodgett. Brian's paternal grandparents are Lawton and Virginia James of Dexter and maternal grandparents are Madge Noyes of Cape Girardeau and the late Drexel Noyes. Nathen's paternal grandparents are John Heeb of Chaffee and Pearl Scheper of Scott City and the late L.E. and Lillian King. His maternal grandparents are Harold and June Tarrants of Morehouse.

Each bride presided her sister as maid of honor. Emily's bridesmaids were Kara Heuring and Karen Burger of New Hamburg, cousins and friends of the bride; Denitra Holman of Benton, cousin and friend of the bride; and Jeannette LeGrand of Kelso, friend of the bride.

Tiffany's bridesmaids were: Julie Milam of Benton and Toni Vetter of Charleston, friends of the bride; and Katie Heeb of Bell City and Amber King of Dexter, sisters of Nathen.

Derek James served his brother, Brian, as best man. Brian's groomsmen were Nathen King of Benton, co-bridegroom; Michael Glastetter of New Hamburg, brother of the brides; and Matt Sisley of Santa Claus, Ind., and Alan Scheeter of Sikeston, friends of the bridegroom.

Michael Davis of Sikeston served his friend, Nathen, as best man. Nathen's groomsmen were Brian James of Sikeston, co-bridegroom; Michael Glastetter of New Hamburg, brother of the brides; John Welter of Lexington, Ky., and Jeremy Skelton of Benton.

Candle lighters were Holly Newell of Sikeston and Wendy Parrish of DeSoto, friends of Emily; and Kendal Heeb of Morley, sister of Nathen.

Ushers were Greg Riley of New Hamburg, uncle of the brides; Dennis Glastetter of Morris, Ill., cousin of the brides; and Sam King of Sikeston and Toby Heeb of Bell City, brothers of Nathen.

Kristen King of Sikeston, daughter of Jeff and Laura King and cousin of Nathen, served as junior bridesmaid, while Drew Glastetter of Morris, son of Dennis and Lyndsay Glastetter and cousin of the brides, was the junior groomsmen.

Miniature bride was Kara Heeb of Morley, daughter of David and Cheryl Heeb and niece of Nathen, and miniature bridegroom was Nick Glastetter of Morris, son of Dennis and Lyndsay Glastetter and cousin of the brides.

Flower girls were Riley Burger of New Hamburg, daughter of Heath and Karen Burger and cousin of the brides, and Liza King of Sikeston, daughter of Robert and Janie King and sister of Nathen. Ring bearer was Alex Burger of New Hamburg, son of Heath and Karen Burger and cousin of the brides.

Following the ceremony, a reception dinner and dance was held at the Father Stevens Parish Center in New Hamburg.

Mrs. James is employed in the pulmonary department at Cape Girardeau Physician Associates, and her husband is a teacher and coach with the Sikeston R-6 School District. They are making their home in Sikeston.

Mrs. King is a teacher and coach with the Sikeston R-6 School District, and King is a recreational officer at the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston. The new Mr. and Mrs. King reside in Benton.

Both couples are planning a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, later this month.
