Sikeston eighth grade tracksters place third, fourth in SEMO conference meet

JACKSON - The Sikeston boys and girls eighth grade track and field team competed in the SEMO Conference meet on Monday at Jackson.

The Sikeston girls took third place while the boys finished in fourth among the four conference teams.

On the girls side, Mykesha Jackson had a first place finish in the long jump at 14-10 1/2.

She also took second in the 100 meter dash at 13.5 seconds and ran a leg on the first place 4 x 100 meter relay team with a time of 54.53.

Also running on the relay was Jordan Rodgers, April Allen and Michel'le Flye.

Flye took second in the 200 meter dash at 27.75.

Tyanne Townsend took second in the 800 meters.

Shaquante Johnson took third in the 75 meter hurdles at 13.5.

Tiah Atkinson, Rodgers, Flye and Allen took third in the 4 x 200 meter relay at 1:57.

Atkinson took third in the 400 meter dash at 1:09.9.

And the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Atkinson, Jasmine Lane, Camery Davis and Olivia Burrows took third place.

On the boys side, Dominic Fondon took second in the 100 meter dash (11.96) second in the long jump and third in the 200 meter dash (24.51).

The Bulldogs' 4 x 200 meter relay team of Fondon, Anthony Oglesby, Demetrius Jackson and Vince Howard took second place with a time of 1:
