Burton - Box

PORTAGEVILLE -- Dan and Gail Burton have announced the engagement of their daughter, Leigh Ellen, to Brian James Box, son of James and Faye Box of New Madrid.

A 2000 graduate of Portageville High school, the future bride earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from Southeast Missouri State University. She is currently employed by Univirtual LLC, home of the Championship of Best Friends. She is the granddaughter of Lourene Thacker of Portageville.

The prospective bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Risco High School and received a bachelor's degree in horticulture from Southeast Missouri State University. He is the grandson of Fay Box of Sikeston and co-owner of Horizon Landscaping in Jacksonville, Fla., where the couple will reside after their May 28 wedding.
