CHARLESTON - Leonard Dean, 69, died Nov. 7, 2003, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
Born Aug. 17, 1934, in Wyatt, son of the late Joe and Tennie Davis Dean, he attended Charleston Public Schools and was employed at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, Ill., until his retirement.
Survivors include: two brothers, Leroy Gary and Gene Powell of Chicago; three sisters, Florine Jones of Detroit, Mich., Corine Jones of Charleston and Lucille Parker of St. Louis.
Two sisters and four brothers also preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at noon at the Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston. Elder Steve Betts will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
