In came the Lady 'Cats and out they went with a big-point win.
Their 14th victim of this season, the Portageville Lady Bulldogs.
Dexter defeated Portageville 60-24, and actually led by 32 (47-15) at the half.
Rachel Blunt nearly outscored the Lady Bulldogs herself during the first two periods of play, netting 14. Had she knocked down her one missed free-throw in the second, she would have tied them.
Blunt finished with 17.
Haylee Finch dropped in nine in the first half to finish with 15. Jessica Fowler had all of her seven in the first quarter, While Taylor Nelson spread her scoring out over the entire game and scored 11.
"I thought we played a good first half," Dexter head coach Gavin Miller said. "But how do you keep a group of girls' intensity level up when you're leading by 32 at the half?
"I am happy that we were in that position though, but I am disappointed about our second half play."
