SIKESTON - Bill Grogan, 69, formerly of Dorena, died at 12:12 a.m. March 21, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 11, 1939, in Dorena, to the late John and Bernice Todd Grogan, he lived most of his life in Mississippi County, where he was a retired farmer. He moved to Utah for a few years and lived in Sikeston for the past seven years. He was of the Church of Christ belief and a veteran of the National Guard.
On May 1, 1964, at East Prairie, he married Rubby Merryman, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Jerome Grogan of Ironton and Marty and Michael Grogan of Sikeston; one daughter, Edith Grogan of Sikeston; one sister, Jeanette Carden of East Prairie; one son-in-law, James Seagroves of Sikeston; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, by whom he was raised, Edna Crenshaw; and six brothers.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Scott Sutton officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
