PORTAGEVILLE - Melvin Thomas "Tom" Robinson, 57, died March 21, 2008, in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 24, 1950, in Poplar Bluff, to the late E.T. "Bill" and Beulah Robinson, he worked in home construction and was a member of the Portageville First Baptist Church.
On Nov. 29, 1983, in Portageville, he married Karen Sue Springer, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Russell Robinson of Tracy, Calif. and Bobby Burks of Portageville; two daughters, Vickii RuthAnn Robinson of Seattle and Angela Randle of Swansea, Ill.; three sisters, Patricia Hollingshead of Portageville, Kathy Napier of Caruthersville and Enda Dry of Cooter; and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Scott Burks; and one sister, Donna Campbell.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Monday at the Portageville First Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Faulk, Christopher Burks, Scotty Burks, Josh Faulk, Tyler Burkes and Christopher George Randle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Hollingshead, Chris Hollingshead, Gene Hollingshead, Chris Hollingshead Jr., Patrick Napier, Steve Springer, Alison, Brittany and Jessica.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti is in charge of arrangements.
