BENTON - Theodore Edgar "T.E." Hicks, 65, died at 6:57 p.m. June 13, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 30, 1940, in Blodgett, son of the late A.Y. and Viola Isabel Webber Hicks, he was a retired auto mechanic, having been self-employed at Hicks Garage in Morley and Bell City.
On Jan. 2, 1970, he married Georgia Jacox, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Danny Hicks of Caruthersville and Larry Hicks of Bell City; three daughters, Wanda Carey and Trisha McDonough of Benton and Cindy Bryant of New Hamburg; three brothers, Warren Hicks of DeKalb, Ill., Eddie Hicks of Morehouse and Ralph Hicks of Vanduser; four sisters, Jewell Moore of DeKalb, Geraldean Adcock of Iuka, Ill., Wanda Moore of Sikeston and Earleen Kirkpatrick of Gilbertsville, Ky.; and 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One son, Terry Hicks; three brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Randy Conn will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
