VANDUSER - Mr. and Mrs. Ray Woodward left for their home in Washington Tuesday after a two week visit here with relatives.

SIKESTON - The Stan Musical League closed shop last night at Farris Field with a four-way tie developing for second place between John Deere, Malone and Hyde, KSIM and Collins Construction, all with 7-8 records.

SIKESTON - Dr. Laghaieh Rezvani is the newest member of the radiology staff at Missouri Delta Community Hospital. Originally from Iran, she has studied and worked in the field for more than a decade and specializes in ultrasound and CAT scans.

SIKESTON - The Heartland National All-Stars won the state Babe Ruth Tournament. The team, sponsored by Eagles Snacks, will play in the regionals at Bowling Green, Ohio, July 28-31. The team consisted of: Heather Miller, Rebecca Montgomery, Pam Essner, Lyndsey Burger, Ashley Beggs, Lori Arnzen, Amanda Backfisch, Brani Foulk, Molly McKenny, Cheryl Hubbert, Kim Riley, Cheryl Barnett, Tiffany Glastetter, Amy O'Brien, Ginger Dees and Debbie Glastetter. NEW MADRID - Auxiliary officers for the American Legion Post 595 in New Madrid were installed during special ceremonies Saturday. Leading the group for the 1994-95 year will be President Betty Moore and Vice President Ravenna Grissom. Marie Hunter will be the new secretary-treasurer; Carmen Basham, chaplain; Mary L. Akins, sergeant-at-arms; and Ruth Clark was chosen the group's historian.
