Local youth to compete at AAU Jr. Olympics

SIKESTON -- Seven-year-old Tristin Zimmerman (at left in photo), son of Matt and Lori Zimmerman of Sikeston, and 14-year-old Zane Riley, son of Mike and Gail Riley of Blodgett, will compete in the 2005 AAU Junior Olympic Games in New Orleans, La., on July 30-August 2.

Tristin and Zane qualified for the Tae Kwon Do competition by finishing first in forms and sparring at the AAU District Qualifier in Union on May 14.

Tristin, a red belt, attends Matthews Elementary School and Zane, also a red belt, attends Kelly High School. They are students at Tae Kwon Do Advantage under the direction of Master Tim Wall and head instructor DeRay Ivie.
