The Sikeston 10-year-old all-stars captured the state championship in Boonville on Monday with an 8-2 victory against Mineral Area. Sikeston led 4

-2 in the game when Lucas Houchin launched a grand slam in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 8-2. Tyler Anderson was the winning pitcher. Sikeston will now move to regional competition in Baxter, Minn., where they will play the Minnesota representative on Friday at 10 a.m.
