MORLEY -- James Crawford, 73, died July 30, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 30, 1931, in East Prairie, son of the late James David and Juanita Pruit Crawford, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
On June 29, 1954, he married Beatrice Brashear who survives of the home in Morley.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, James David and Yvonne Jansen Crawford of Morley and Christopher Douglas and Kathy Spore Crawford of Portageville; four daughters and one son-in-law, Charlotte Arnold Gaskins, Mary Lee and Gregory Bell and Janet Ivy, all of Sikeston and Kathy Sherriff of Portageville; three brothers, George Crawford and Ray Crawford of Sikeston and Dan Crawford of Kennett; five sisters, Dorothy Florence, Ruth Ann Jefferies and Nita Robinson, all of Sikeston, Linda Cole of Blodgett and Joan Poche of Louisiana; and 13 grandchildren and 15 great-
In addition to his parents, one sister, Ellen Grennlee, preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jim Eskew and John Benning of the Church of God of Prophecies will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Harley Eugene Gaskins Jr., Tommy Ellis Henson II, Michael James Lee Laminack, Joel David Crawford, James Christopher Taylor Jr. and David Russell Gilliland III.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Christopher Mathew Crawford, John Finley Brashear III, Jeffrey Lee Brashear, Arthur Finley Brashear, Gregory Scott Bell and Lawrence David Brashear Jr.
