Wayne Rodery

BERNIE - Wayne Rodery, 81, died May 28, 2004, at the Malden Nursing Center.

Born March 21, 1923, in Clay County, Ark., son of the late Joe and Ethel Mae George Rodery, he attended the Nazarene Church in Bernie.

On Dec. 20, 1947, in St. Louis, he married Helen Marie Blevins who preceded him in death on March 13, 1990.

Survivors include: three sons, Darrell Rodery of Bernie, Kenneth Rodery of Wappapello and Timothy Rodery of Bernie; two daughters, Brenda Caplinger of Parma and Karen Lynn Hunter of Rolla; three brothers, Hillard Rodery of Cartersville, Ga., Laverne Rodery of Campbell and Carlos Rodery of Brighton, Mich.; one sister, Anna Lee Nichols of Piggott, Ark.; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also preceding him in death were one brother, Floyd Rodery; and one grandson, Eric Lee Rodery.

Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie with the Rev. Don Wells officiating.

Full graveside military honors followed at the Bernie Cemetery.
