DUDLEY - Carroll Findley, 90, died May 31, 2004, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 6, 1913, in Stoddard County, son of the late Samuel and Barbara Capps Findley, he was of the General Baptist belief. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a former manager for the U.S. Department of Agriculture before retiring.
His first wife, Thelma Davis Findley, preceded him in death on March 5, 1968.
On Dec. 20, 1979, at Poplar Bluff, he married Marjorie Fisher who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Gene Findley of Dudley; one stepson, Vincent Cox of Dudley; one brother, Carma Findley of Pontiac, Mich.; two grandchildren, Kristie Hill of Farmington and Jason Findley of Dudley; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Dale Findley; and one brother, Oral Findley.
Visitation is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bill Webster will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
