NEW MADRID - Linda June Carter, 56, died May 29, 2004, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
Born June 5, 1947, in New Madrid, daughter of Curt Williams of Michigan City, Ind., and the late Bernadean Bramlett Williams, she was a member of American Legion Post 595 Ladies Auxiliary and Eagles Aerie 4206 Ladies Auxiliary in New Madrid.
She was married to Robert Carter who survives of New Madrid.
Other survivors include: three sons, Bill Smith of Maben, Miss., and Bobby Carter and Shawn Carter of New Madrid; two daughters, Annette Richner of Belcamp, Md., and Amanda Carter of New Madrid; nieces and nephews, including Tina Williams of East Prairie, whom she raised; seven brothers, Butch Williams and Steve Williams of Michigan City, Ronnie Kimball of Portageville, Ricky Kimball of Michigan, Mike Kimball and Robbie Kimball of New Madrid and Don Kimball of Park Hills; one sister, Kim Rowland of Searcy, Ark.; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Terrie Kimball Summerton; and one brother, Larry Joe Williams.
Services were conducted at 3 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home with Scott Sutton officiating.
Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
