Iris Chasteen

DEXTER -- Iris Delene Chasteen, 82, died Aug. 27, 2007, at her home.

Born Nov. 19, 1924, in Burnet, Ark., daughter of the late Thomas and Mallie Gregory Whittle, she was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dexter and a homemaker.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Willa Burris of Dexter; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Gaylon Lillard and Danetta and Jim Cates of Dexter; one brother, Harlon Whittle of Poplar Bluff; and five grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were: one son, Calvin Joiner; one brother, Hubert Whittle; and two sisters, Etole Blankenship and Sue Prichard.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dexter. Allen Laszewski will officiate.

Burial will follow at a later date.
