SCOTT CITY -- Bill F. Asbridge, 77, died Oct. 4, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 3, 1925, at Dyersburg, Tenn., son of the late William and Beatrice Blackwell Asbridge, he was a maintenance engineer for General Equipment Co. in St. Louis and moved from Collinsville, Ill., to Scott City in 1989. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Scott City First Baptist Church.
On Feb. 11, 1982, at Collinsville, he married Pauline G. Miller who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, John Feerrar of Mechanicsville, Md.; two daughters, Susan Schoenbauer of Mechanicsville and Deboarah L. Russell of Collinsville; one brother, Paul Asbridge of Chaffee; two sisters, Betty June Reed of Dutchtown and Joan Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One sister preceded him in death.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Scott City. The Rev. Terry Eades will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
