Your view: A poetic note

Wednesday, December 1, 2004

Dear God above, we come to Thee for an answer to this mystery.

America the brave and free has been attacked by the enemy.

We wonder why this dreadful act should fall upon our country's back.

The world was shocked as people fell, including some of the enemy as well.

They took their own lives through greed - that was taught to them by a heartless breed.

As America stands so tried and true, we know our Lord will see us through.

We send our prayers to every man who fought and died to save our land.

To the families of all who lost their lives; to the mothers, fathers, children, husbands and wives,

To let us all remember the day, but most of all remember to pray.

Let freedom ring throughout the world as our soldiers march to our flag unfurled.

Let's hope that the enemy will some day be united forever with you and me.

A devout believer, MJB,
