DESLOGE -- James L. Marler, 80, died Nov. 15, 2004, at his home.
Born July 14, 1924, in Herculaneum, son of the late Clarence Edward and Della Bell Bright Marler, he retired from St. Joe Lead Co. in 1980.
His wife, Galena Highley Marler, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara and Dennis Link of Sikeston and Jacqueline Holmes of St. Louis; one brother, Bill Marler of Irondale; two sisters, Helen Bowles of Irondale and Imajean Hamman of St. Charles; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One son, David Marler, and one sister, Linda Gilbert, also preceded him in death.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge where services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ralph Burris will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Parkview Cemetery.
