SIKESTON - Kenneth R. Walker, 78, formerly of East Prairie, died at 9:30 p.m. Jan. 27, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 14, 1927, in Anniston, son of the late William Eugene and Blanche Oliphant Walker, he lived in Mississippi County most of his life, where he retired as an auto mechanic. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church and Kiwanis Club in East Prairie.
On June 12, 1949, he married Wylodene Malone who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Cynthia Walker of Sikeston and Terry Burns of Matthews; three brothers, Wilbur Walker of Poplar Bluff, Glen Walker of Mayfield, Ky., and Leroy Walker of Bertrand; two sisters, Judy Blaylock and Barbara Haubold of Bertrand; one grandson, Ashley Burns of Clinton, Ky.; and one great-grandson, Cyrus Eli Burns of Clinton.
Two infant sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with George White officiating.
Burial will follow in the Armer Cemetery near Bertrand.
