BERNIE - Dennis J. Morris, 78, died Nov. 1, 2002, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

Born April 13, 1924, at Charter Oak, son of the late Dentist and Myrtle Greer Morris, he was a retired farmer and member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bernie.

Survivors include: four sons, Frankie Morris of Lilbourn, Dennis Morris Jr. of Mountain View and Michael Todd Morris and Darrell Wayne Morris of Poplar Bluff; three daughters, Rita Gibbs of Mountain View, Lottie Mae Cannady of Malden and Patricia Joanna Gee of Dexter; one brother, Frank Morris of Big Sandy, Tenn.; one sister, Lottie Wooley of Florida; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Morris; and two sisters, Dixie Orena Morris and Beulah Montgomery.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Dale Shoup, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
