PUXICO - Tincy Cookson, 84, died Oct. 31, 2002, at the Puxico Nursing Center.
Born Dec. 11, 1917, in White Oak, Ark., daughter of the late Lee and Gennie Oller Harris, she was a lifelong resident of Puxico. She was a cook for the Doris and Sonny Jones Restaurant and the Puxico Nutrition Center before retiring.
On April 22, 1933, she married Everett Cookson who preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1978.
Survivors include: one daughter, Marvell Wheetley of Puxico; two sons, Billy Cookson of Puxico and Lyman Cookson of St. Clair; one sister, Elsie Burge of Puxico; and 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ancel Harris, and three sisters, Demetrial Harris, Opal Harris and Louise Snider.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Wiley McGhee of Puxico will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
