Born Oct. 7, 1921, in Dexter, son of the late Stephen E. and Maugreete Ruth Williams Miller Sr., he was a member of the First General Baptist Church and was a retired Baptist minister. He had been a clerk at Ringer Hardware in Dexter and was a member of the General Baptist Association.
On July 20, 1972, in Dexter, he married Opal M. Duley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two stepsons, John W. Duley and Wayne Duley of Dexter; four stepdaughters, Jo Ann Gibson and Annis Hughes of Dexter, Janis Duley of Branson and Brenda Eubanks of Bloomfield; one brother, Kendall M. Miller of Dexter; two sisters, Bertha M. Miller of Dexter and Eleanor R. Ezell of Upper Marlboro, Md.; and 17 stepgrandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Daniel Miller; and four sisters. F. Louvisa Miller, Gladys M. Miller, Lucille M. Miller and A. Omega Miller.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
