CHARLESTON - Everett Wayne Bone Jr., 67, died at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 10, 2002, at the Charleston Manor.
Born Aug. 29, 1935, in Wolf Island, son of Patti Mae Glass Bone of Charleston and the late Everett Bone Sr., he lived in Charleston his entire life, where he was a self-employed farmer and cattleman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, where he had served as chairman of the deacons and was named deacon emeritus. An avid horseman, he was instrumental in organizing the annual church trail rides each summer for several years. He also served with the Missouri National Guard for many years.
On Jan. 24, 1960, he married Doris Maxwell who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: five daughters and four sons-in-law, Jana and Randy Thompson, Lana and Leslie Collier, Angie and Alan Dale Duenne, Liz and Darrell Ray and Annie Huffman of Charleston; two brothers, J.H. "Bud" Bone and W.D. "Pete" Bone of Charleston; three sisters, Mary Bone and Linda Vogt of St. Louis and Grace Blaylock of Charleston; and 12 grandchildren, Matt Thompson, Heather Collier, Rett Thompson, Tyler Collier, Josh Thompson, Jessie Duenne, Jordan Duenne, Morgan Collier, Taylor Duenne, Makayla Thompson, Madison Huffman and Tanner Ray.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Charleston.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Matt Thompson, Rett Thompson, Josh Thompson, Tyler Collier, Greg Davis and Carl Bone.
