SIKESTON - The Sikeston Community Choir will present its third annual Christmas Concert in the First Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. This concert, for the past three years, has become a traditional and necessary part of the Christmas spirit for concert-goers in Sikeston and in the surrounding cities and towns.
DEXTER - Anne Marie Stephens, daughter of John and Shirley Stephens of Bernie, was one of two musicians who represented Missouri in the 1982 National FFA Convention in Kansas City. A senior at Bernie High School, Stephens plays the oboe and was selected for the national band by Professor Roger C. Heath of San Luis Obispo, Calif.

SIKESTON - Gloria Crowley and Angie Jones joined Vice Mayor Chuck Leible as he signed a proclamation declaring last week Home Care Week in Sikeston. Crowley and Jones both are representatives of Allen's Private Duty Nursing.
MATTHEWS - The Big Prairie Jaycees will be sponsoring a Tree of Lights throughout December. A live Christmas tree will be placed near the community building and residents wishing to participate may place on the tree a color light for $5 and a white light for $10. All proceeds will be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
SIKESTON - City Councilman Josh Bill recently signed a proclamation declaring December Drunk and Drugged Driving Awareness Month.
