SIKESTON - Meridell Vanlandingham, 84, died at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 17, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Nov. 28, 1917, in Mart, Texas, daughter of the late Cleve and Ila Scott Hamilton Dean, she worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone for many years and was of the Baptist belief. She was a member of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers Club and had been a member of Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319.
Survivors include: one son, Bob Vanlandingham of Pleasanton, Calif.; one daughter, Sandy Spear of Parker, Colo.; three grandchildren, Stacy Heckert of Sikeston, Scott Spear of Dodge City, Kan., and Melissa Carniglia of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and one great-granddaughter, Shelby Heckert of Sikeston.
One brother preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The Rev. Larry Davis, pastor of Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Joey Heckert, Scott Spear, Jeff Carniglia, Floyd Ferrell, Robby Henley and Scott Chartrau.
