Silver turns triple play in win over Irrigation Central

SIKESTON -- Thursday's results of Sikeston Area Youth Baseball were as follows.


R. J. Silver 6, Irrigation Central 3

A Silver triple play highlighted its victory over Irrigation.

Adam Johnson, Zach Harrison and Austin Erwin rapped two hits each for Silver.

Jackson Alvarez, Dilan Rucker, Taylor Pyland, Paul Ruff and Michael Eckles had a basehit apiece for Irrigation.

Fabrite 9, Jim Wilson 2

J. Hunter Schwab, Cody Rodgers and Colton Hampton went 3-for-3 for Fabrite, while Matt Sims, Kaleb Newton and Zach Sims collected two hits in two trips for Jim Wilson.

Randy's RX 3, Dairy Queen 3

Randy's Seth Ressel and Cody Dixon had two hits each and Dylan Mason had two for Dairy Queen in the three-inning tie.

Chase Baran, Zach Moore, Derrick Garner and Paden Cook added one hit each for Dairy Queen.


Standard Democrat 9, Nunnelee Funeral 4

Drew Harper led the Democrat with three hits; Connor Landers and Eric Darnell added two apiece.

Chris Alley went 2-for-2 for Nunnelee.

Jackson Stallings earned the win in relief of Landers. Harper struck out the side in one inning of work.

Morlan Dodge 11, Noffel-Feverhahn 7

Cord Sheehy went the distance with nine strikeouts to pick up the win.

Trey Tigart, who along with Brandon Goodwin had two hits each for Noffel, recorded 11 strikeouts in a losing effort.

Tyler Anderson and Sheehy had one hit each for Morlan.


Rotary 18, Jaycees 7

Luke Keefer, the winning pitcher, and Mike Gibson blasted home runs, while Andy Hicks went 2-for-3 for Rotary.

Ryan Vanover and Trent McMillen stroked three hits apiece and Clay Driskill added two for Jaycees.


Burger King 4, Sikeston Auto Service 2

Kai Lambert and Josh Carlyle combined on a three-hitter with six strikeouts apiece in Burger King's win.

Jason Stratman stroked three hits, including a triple, to lead Burger King. Carlyle and Lambert added one hit each.

Chris Limbaugh and Caleb Pruitt had one hit apiece for Auto Service.

American Legion 7, Wild Eyes 4

American Legion's five-run fifth-inning rally from a 4-2 deficit spelled the difference.

Nick Byrd got the win and Dylan Martin earned a save.

Caleb Foust and Kingston Arthur went 2-for-3 for the Legion.

Jimmy Obermark paced Wild Eyes with two hits.


Market Place 6, Elks 2

Timmy Bell got the complete-game win with seven strikeouts and Matthew Carmack and Timmy Hart had two-run doubles to lead Market Place.

Hunter Dillender topped the Elks' hitters with three hits, while Billy Green, Spencer Ayers and Steve Beydler had two hits apiece.

First National Bank 5, U.S. Bank 4

Cody Anderson outdueled a trio of U.S. Bank hurlers, Stan Ivie, Strick Green and Clayton Mayfield, to pick up the close win.

Green and Timmy Hart had two hits each for U.S. Bank.
