First National Bank nips Elks in Junior Babe Ruth action

SIKESTON - Here are the results from Wednesday's Sikeston Area Youth Baseball action. Some of the games were made up from rainouts on Tuesday.

JUNIOR BABE RUTH

Adam Kimball, Dennis Evans and Casey Burton combined for the win on the mound. Hunter Dillender was the losing pitcher for Elks.

First National was led in hitting by Kimball, Evans, Michael Botkin and Geoffrey Botkin, all with doubles.

Tyler Dame hit two home runs to pace the Noranda attack. Further information was not available at press time.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Burger King got a winning pitching performance out the combined trio of Kai Lambert, James Naile and Josh Carlyle. KSIM's Tanner Bryant, Ross Bohannon, Brady Culver and Jordan Davis all combined for the loss.

Nick DeLaRosa's grand slam and three hits led the way for Burger King.

Jason Stratman and Jacob Murphy each had two hits.

Bohannon led KSIM with two hits. Davis, Bryant, Blake Hurt and Culver each had one hit.

Only score provided in National League.

ROOKIE LEAGUE

Austin Erwin led Silver with two hits to lead the team to the win in a makeup game from Tuesday.

Central's Austin Byrd went 3-3 to lead the way. Colton Hampton and J. Hunter Schwab each had three hits to lead Fabrite.

Silver's Riley Stark, Austin Erwin and Adam Johnson each had three hits to lead the way.
