BERNIE - Dora Bates Warren, 85, died June 18, 2004, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Born June 26, 1918, in Bernie, daughter of the late James Sylvester and Martha Emeline English Bates, she was a member of the Bernie United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Joe Warren of Bernie; two daughters, Marilyn Kay Stinson of New Haven and Karen Warren of Bernie; one sister, Nadine Tallent of Lompoc, Calif.; and four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Bates and Robert Bates; and one sister, Alma Beaird.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie with the Rev. Susan Marner-Sides officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
