Authorities investigate area man's death
CARUTHERSVILLE - Investigation continues into an apparent homicide.
The Pemiscot County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control are investigating the death of Jimmy D. Grills, 52.
According to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, Grills' body was found at 2 a.m. Saturday by his girlfriend. The body was lying in the living room floor of his Bragg City Route 2 home.
The Pemiscot County coroner pronounced Grills dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy be performed in Farmington. Greenwell described the death as an apparent homicide.
No further information was available from authorities today.
