Phyllis Howell

PORTAGEVILLE - Phyllis Jean "Jeannie" Howell, 48, formerly of Portageville, died Dec. 3, 2002, at her home.

Born Sept. 8, 1954, in LaForge, she was the daughter of Virginia Jones Howell of New Madrid and the late Ted Howell.

Survivors in addition to her mother include: one son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Kakie Cobb of Portageville; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sherry Howell of New Madrid; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Lynda Faye and Terry Allen of Oran, Doris Ann and Kelley Starlin, Sandra and Verlin McKinney and Tammy Elizabeth Powell of New Madrid; and two grandchildren, Deven Cobb and Caleb Cobb of Portageville.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the New Madrid Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Orval McKinney, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
