Born Dec. 15, 1927, in Sikeston, son of the late Early Ernest and Beulah Calvin Caldwell, he was a truck driver for Armour Moving Van and Storage before retiring. He was a staff sergeant with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 114 in Sikeston.
Survivors include: one brother, Byron W. "Barney" Caldwell of Sikeston; two sisters, Margie Thompson of St. Louis and Jeanette Frazier of Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until time for a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Allen M. Shriver, pastor of the First Christian Church of Sikeston, will officiate.
Interment will follow at a later date.
