SIKESTON - Cora Claudette Learue, 68, died Jan. 8, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born March 5, 1936, in Scott County, daughter of the late Claude and Wilma Madison Dirickson, she was of the Baptist belief.

On Dec. 3, 1974, in New Madrid, she married James M. Learue who preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1995.

Survivors include: four sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Lissa Hicks and Artie and Tracy Hicks of Sikeston, Steven Hicks of Cottontown, Tenn., and Shannon Learue of Jackson; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sondra and Terry Alliston of Austin, Texas and Debbie and Randy Allen and Darlene Hicks of Sikeston; one sister, Betty Burns of Florida; and 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One son and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Bob Burnes, pastor of the House of Prayer Independent Baptist Church in Grant City will officiate.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.

Pallbearers will be: Tony Powell, Brent Powell, Alan Hopper, Ricky Dirickson, Terry Miller and Scott Learue.
